Hundreds of graduates celebrated their milestone achievement during UIC’s Fall 2025 commencement ceremonies on Dec.
12 and Dec. 13 at Credit Union 1 Arena, where different colleges held separate events for receiving degrees.
University of Chicago leaders announced that spending discipline and fresh revenue sources allowed the school to cut its deficit by $60 million more than planned at a Dec.
11 meeting at Max Palevsky Theater. The improvement reduces the deficit from $288 million to $160 million this fiscal year.
