- ➤ Arts organizations on the South and West Sides have had to change plans after a canceled NEA grant cut key funds for dance and art shows. Leaders from 773 Dance Project, SkyART and Hyde Park Art Center plan to work with community partners — including Chicago’s Arts Relief Fund — to keep their programs running. South Side Weekly
- ➤ South Side Weekly published its annual Best of the South Side issue that highlights key neighborhood sites, events and community leaders across Kenwood, Hyde Park and Woodlawn—featuring selections like Morgan Shoal’s ancient reef, 61st Street Farmers Market and Daley’s Restaurant—and a lantern ceremony in Jackson Park that shows how local traditions balance heritage with change.
