CRIME NEWS

  • Early Sunday a state trooper was injured when a suspected drunk driver in a Tesla hit a stopped patrol vehicle on I-88 near Elmhurst — the driver, 24-year-old Sebastian G. Rodriguez from Romeoville, was taken to the hospital and charged with DUI and violating the Move Over Law.  Daily Herald

HEALTH NEWS

  • On a May flight from Germany to Chicago, 71-year-old Larry Stoklosa lost consciousness and received emergency care from Dr. Jacqueline Ivey-Brown who used on-board medical supplies to treat his low oxygen and high blood pressure. He later was treated for pneumonia and reconnected with her at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Lake Barrington.  Daily Herald
