➤ Hyde Park’s Ulta Beauty at 5228 S. Lake Park Ave—announced on a sign—will close next month on Sept. 20 as slow sales prompted the decision, the store’s general manager confirmed. The move is part of a series of closures in Chicagoland even as the company plans to open 200 new stores over the next three years. Hyde Park Herald

➤ CHA youth painted a two-story mural called 'Nature, Art’s Muse' on the north wall of the Hyde Park Art Center — they worked with artist Dorian Sylvain during a six-week summer program, and the artwork gained attention from local residents while it will be on display until June 1.
