- ➤ Organizers of the 4th on 53rd Parade will host a Hyde Park-themed trivia fundraiser on June 26 at Woodlawn Tap, with teams paying $20 to play and registration starting at 6:30 p.m. The event aims to help cover rising parade costs and will feature local special guests such as Ald. - ➤ An Elgin man, Rocky Ahmedyar (35, 1100 block of Spring Creek Road), was charged with attempted first-degree murder after firing a handgun at a woman during a domestic dispute in Naperville on Tuesday, faces charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated stalking and violation of an order of protection, was denied pre-trial release in DuPage County court, and has a court appearance set for July 14.
