- ➤ UIC Social Justice Initiative hosted a double feature screening of 'Expanding Sanctuary' and 'The Search' on May 6 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at UIC. The event included a panel with director Melina Tupa (joining virtually) and professors Xóchitl Bada and Patrisia Macías-Rojas to discuss immigration and justice issues. Today UIC
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ University of Chicago leaders reported a plan to cut a long-term deficit to about $140 million by June during a meeting at Ida Noyes Hall. Staff will receive 2% to 3% raises and AI will be used to reduce administrative costs (a trial amid uncertain federal research funds). Hyde Park Herald
