- ➤ The Institute for the Humanities is hosting a Faculty Fellow Lecture featuring Justin Quang Nguyen Phan on Non/Aligned: On Refugee Narrative and Graphic Memoir, where he will analyze Thi Bui’s acclaimed graphic memoir (exploring Vietnamese refugee narratives and diasporic self-determination) at the venue. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Local groups launched a free doula care program for uninsured and Medicaid-covered mothers on the South Side to reduce health disparities. The new service, announced Jan. 28, will offer prenatal visits, labor support and postpartum care to about 80 families across 15 ZIP codes. Hyde Park Herald

- ➤ On Wednesday, Hyde Park Academy lost 52-43 to Lincoln Park and Kenwood Academy fell 64-50 to Curie Metro High School at Credit Union 1 Arena; both teams took buses to the South Side as state playoffs begin next week, while Lincoln Park readies tonight's 8 p.m. title game against Curie.
